Project Description

In 2011, Engro Foundation embarked on the largest social investment in its history by building a 166 home model village in Rakh Ehsanpur, Muzzaffargarh. The village was constructed under the Punjab Model Village Program, assisted ultra flood-affected families with shelter, civil infrastructure, upgraded medical facility and school, and off-grid energy. In order to restore and supplement the broken livelihoods of the community, Engro Foundation provided livelihood assistance through the creation of a Dairy Hub, Tunnel Training Farm, Kitchen Gardens in every household, and Skills Development in Construction and Micro-business Enterprise.

In order to take on this grand task, Engro Foundation retained AMC to manage the project and employ AMC’s multi-faceted housing approach.
