AMC is a social enterprise started in 2008 by Abdul Jawad Aslam with the dream of bringing real change to the housing sector in Pakistan by making affordable, quality housing accessible to the average Pakistani. This is the story of a visionary man who set out to change the face of the housing sector in Pakistan and is now making the dreams and aspirations of every Pakistani to own their own home, a reality. 2005
After 10 years in the US real estate sector, Jawad Aslam (AMC Founder) moves to Pakistan to develop affordable housing.
Leads Saiban’s low income housing, Khuda Ki Basti 4 project.
2007-09
Joins Acumen Global Fellow program. Registers AMC as a for-profit, private limited company with SECP in Sep, 2008 with Acumen Fund taking 30% stake
Bamboo Finance and Acumen invest in AMC’s first project, a hundred acre project on the outskirts of Lahore
2010-11
AMC introduces a low cost modern village concept after 2010-floods, primarily driven by community support. Successfully established AMC model villages in Punjab and Sindh for Pakpur Foundation and Engro Corp.
2016-17
Reall and Places for People came onboard as equity partners.
Launched Faisalabad project in Feb,2016. Launched Peshawar project in July, 2017. Land secured for Sua-a-Asal Feb,2017.
2014
AMC started scaling up the business. Reall, UK agreed to provide 15 million GBP loan
facility
Worked with Hubco
Land secured for Faisalabad
2019
Egerton Girls Hostel started operating May
2019.
Launched Sue Asal project in Oct,2019 Worked with Hubco
